Access to high quality services
SUPPORT OF TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH
Hellenic Translational Research Infrastructure (HTRI/EATRIS-GR)
HTRI / EATRIS-GR is a network of distributed research infrastructures that aims to provide access to high quality services to support translation research nationwide, serving the needs of the public and private sectors. It is currently focusing on the “small molecules” platform which supports “Preclinical and early-Phase Clinical Development of Drugs, Therapeutics and BioMedical Devices”, but aspires to expand its portfolio in the near future and support projects than aim at developing Advanced Therapy Medical Products (ATMPs) and Vaccines.
Our Goals
- To integrate the operational capabilities of existing cutting-edge infrastructures necessary for “Preclinical and early-Phase Clinical Development of Drugs, Therapeutics and BioMedical Devices”.
- To provide access and “high-end” services to translational-research efforts at the national-level serving the needs of the public- and private-sectors.
- To evaluate and adopt for its Infrastructures the operation, management and governance rules of EATRIS-EU best suited for Greece; and
- To integrate EATRIS-GR operationally into the EATRIS-EU network, thereby advancing Translational-Research efforts at the European-level.

Our Mission
HTRI/EATRIS-GR supports Greek Academic and Industrial users in their efforts to conduct Phase-I Clinical-trial, Bioequivalence studies of Generic-Drugs, Clinical and preclinical evaluation of new Formulations, Preclinical evaluation of drugs/therapeutics for a spectrum of disease-areas with high socioeconomic importance, Development of novel formulations for new or existing drugs and biopharmaceuticals and, advanced training in Translational-Research.
HTRI/EATRIS-GR Portfolio
The HTRI/EATRIS-GR Portfolio covers: Pharmacokinetics and Drug Metabolism analysis; PK Data analysis; Disease gene mutation profiling; Metabolomics and toxicology analysis; Mass Cytometry (CyTOF) analysis; Laboratory Animal Facility with established animal models in a broad range of disease areas (Immuno-inflammatory, neuro-inflammatory and neuro-degenerative, cardiovascular, metabolic diseases and cancer).

EATRIS-GR Web-Symposium 18th December 2020
To facilitate establishment of a National Translational Research Infrastructure in the blueprints of EATRIS-ERIC Pan-European Infrastructure, the partners of the EATRIS-GR program organized a one-day web symposium having as objectives to coordinate the implementation of the program and update each other on the Translational Research Capabilities of the participating organizations. The program (shown below) involved […]
BBMRI, ECRIN and EATRIS join forces to offer COVID-19 fast response service
The EATRIS infrastructure’s resources are therefore highly relevant for the research community in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, and include the following expertise and services: 2019-nCoV challenge studies in Non-Human Primates (NHPs) under BSL3+ Advanced preclinical models including NHPs, with advanced analytical readouts including molecular and structural imaging (including real-time imaging of lung lesions), […]
EATRIS COVID-19 Fast Response Service
The COVID-19 Fast Response Service is a coordinated and accelerated procedure for researchers to access the academic facilities, services and resources of the three medical research infrastructures: the European Research Infrastructure for Translational Medicine (EATRIS), the European Clinical Research Infrastructure network (ECRIN) and the European research infrastructure for biobanking (BBMRI), working together under the umbrella of […]
