Mass Cytometry Unit
The Mass Cytometry unit at BRFAA provides Mass Cytometry (CyTOF) services for high dimensional multiparametric proteomic analysis at the single cell level. Our laboratory consists of PhD level analysts with many years of expertise in cytometric analysis. We offer services on experimental design, data acquisition and data analysis regarding multiparametric mass cytometry experiments. Such experiments can be performed for the analysis of extracellular and intracellular or intranuclear protein markers such as receptors, transcription factors, cytokines, and phosphorylated proteins of human or murine cells. These analyses can cover broad fields of scientific research such as all immunology-related fields (like tumor immunology, inflammation and autoimmunity) as well other clinically important fields like investigation of drug responses, developmental biology, neurobiology and many others.
The facility is equipped with a 3rd generation CyTOF system (Helios-FLUIDIGM) with a current analytical capacity 50 parameter/marker at the single cell level. Our operators are fully certified to provide full support in all aspects of a mass cytometry experiment (Experiment Design, Acquisition, custom metal conjugation and data analysis). Mass Cytometry has many applications in all immunology-related fields such as tumor immunology as well other clinically important fields like investigation of drug responses, developmental biology, neurobiology and many others.
